Q8 CONCEPT - GOOGLE I/O
Audi combines cutting edge tech with premium automotive hardware and design. In Audi’s Silicon Valley research lab I owned the UX design and implementation for innovative proof of concepts in partnership with Google and Nvidia.
For Google I/O, I produced the design for a multi-screen Android Auto based demonstration. I created the UI with Kanzi Studio, which combined rich 3D graphic elements with connected data and vehicle functions.
"...,it even has Google Assistant integrated into it so users will be able to interact with the system by using just their voice, which makes for a perfect experience for drivers as it will allow them to keep their hands on the wheel and not fiddle with things on the screen" - androidheadlines.com
"The last cool Audi pulled off here is integrating Android with the OS powering the traditional dashboard display. Android is able to push notifications and other information from the infotainment system right to the dashboard. " - Engadget
GAZE DETECTION VOICE INTERFACE
Based on Nvidia’s face tracking AI technology, I designed and built a proof of concept for a gaze tracking voice system in the car. Tracking the driver’s gaze and lip movement allowed us to eliminate wake words and provide more accurate responses to commands and questions. We demonstrated the system to Audi executives to inform product design.
